So, where's the backswing? There isn't one in the usual sense of the word. That is, you don't swing the racket back. In other words the whole upper body turns as a unit. This kind of turn is known as a "unit turn," and this (automatic) type of backswing is known as a "unit-turn backswing" or "takeback." It's usually sufficient. You seldom need to take the racket back any farther for additional power.
